Why Consider a Property Inspection Business?
Property inspection offers more than the opportunity to work independently.
It's an important service that helps lenders, insurance companies, property owners, and businesses document property conditions, identify potential concerns, and make more informed decisions.
Depending on your experience, qualifications, and the opportunities available in your area, this industry offers different ways to start, develop your skills, and grow.
Some of the possibilities include:
Part-time or
supplemental work:
Explore entry-level field inspections while gaining practical experience.
Flexible scheduling:
Many assignments allow completion within a designated timeframe, providing opportunities to organize your own routes and work schedule.
A relatively low-overhead business:
Inspection services can be started without the expense of a traditional storefront, although equipment, transportation, training, and other operating costs still apply.
Room for advancement: Develop the qualifications and experience needed to pursue broader residential, commercial, and insurance-related inspection work.
Business growth opportunities:
Progress from working independently toward serving multiple clients and potentially managing a team of inspectors.
National Inspection Company Resource Directory:
Property Inspector Development Center will provide students with a comprehensive directory of national inspection companies, including contact information and resources to help them research potential opportunities and begin establishing their own client relationships.
Meaningful work:
Help organizations document property conditions, recognize potential risks, and support safer, better-maintained properties and communities.
With experience in the inspection industry since 2008, I've personally worked at different levels of this business, from individual field assignments to operating with a team of inspectors.
That's the experience and business-building perspective behind Property Inspector Development Center.
What About the
Program Cost?
We're still finalizing the complete program, but I also want to be transparent about investment from the beginning.
The first training opportunity is expected to include self-paced instruction plus optional live group coaching (both beginner and advanced) with support.
We're currently evaluating a founding-student tuition range of approximately
$597–$797.
A higher-touch private coaching option may also be offered for students who want more individualized
fast track support.
How Enrollment, Training & Coaching Work
The Property Inspection Business System is designed to provide structured education with the flexibility
to learn at your own pace.
Students follow a recommended four-month learning pathway, with six months of live group coaching included to help answer questions, reinforce training, and support their progress.
Limited Enrollment:
We plan to welcome up to 20 new students per enrollment opening, allowing us to maintain a manageable and supportive learning environment.
Self-Paced Training:
Work through the lessons and practical business-building material at a pace that fits your schedule.
Six Months of
Group Coaching:
Live coaching is scheduled weekly, alternating between beginner and advanced topics. Each group has two dedicated sessions per month.
Practical Inspection Education:
Learn about field inspections, property systems recognition, residential and commercial concepts, general liability considerations, and the business operations involved
in building an
inspection business.
Our goal is to provide more than a collection of training videos. We want students to develop practical knowledge, understand the requirements of the industry, and have
access to experienced
guidance as they work
toward their business goals.
